Chairman
Madhu Pandit Dasa
Madhu Pandit Dasa is the Chairman of World Food Movement, Founder and Chairman of The Akshaya Patra Foundation and the Chairman and Mentor of the Global Hare Krishna Movement. He is also the Chairman of Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir and conceptualized this upcoming cultural heritage infrastructure in the holy land of Vrindavan, India.
Madhu Pandit Dasa has rendered more than four decades of selfless service to society through various cultural and humanitarian initiatives. A distinguished alumnus of the prestigious IIT-Bombay in India, he has been instrumental in conceiving and implementing programs that have positively impacted millions of people, giving them a better quality of life. He has decisively championed the cause of universal food security and community welfare.
He initiated various feeding programs in India to fulfill the great desire of Srila Prabhupada to see that no one should go hungry. Since then, he has contributed immensely towards feeding children in government schools, homeless people, single elderly women and others in need. Under his visionary leadership, the programs have been successfully conducted for over three decades. He has also personally given direction to undertake massive food assistance initiatives during emergencies in India and abroad.
Madhu Pandit Dasa has been awarded several honorary doctorates, prestigious awards and accolades like Padma Shri, Gandhi Peace Prize, National Award for Child Welfare, Nikkei Asia Prize, and Distinguished Alumnus Award by IIT-Bombay in appreciation of his contributions to society.
Vice Chairman
Chanchalapathi Dasa
Chanchalapathi Dasa is the Vice Chairman of World Food Movement, Co-founder and Vice Chairman of The Akshaya Patra Foundation, Vice Chairman and Co-mentor of the Global Hare Krishna Movement and the President of Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir.
Chanchalapathi Dasa came across the teachings of Srila Prabhupada while pursuing his studies at the prestigious Indian Institute of Science and became interested in his mission. He has conceived various cultural and social development programs for the welfare of humanity. Madhu Pandit Dasa and Chanchalapathi Dasa have jointly initiated numerous food distribution and other interventions in India and abroad.
Chanchalapathi Dasa directs the strategy, growth, and governance of the organizations. He has been actively involved in policy planning and implementation, as well as areas related to operations, public affairs, program management, and emergency food relief activities.
Following Srila Prabhupada's footsteps and his ideals of compassion for the human fraternity, Madhu Pandit Dasa and Chanchalapathi Dasa have been striving to make a difference in the lives of people across the world through feeding programs and other initiatives. As the founders of World Food Movement, they are guiding our organization and motivating us in our endeavor to serve the people of the United States of America and contribute to hunger alleviation.
